Cuore by Edmondo De Amicis and Le avventure di Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi are still answering to the italian people, as they used to when they were written, with a 78% of the population not yet made literate?
These two books were, for almost a century, a way to educate the youngest generations within three principles: to be obedient, to work hard, to be a good man. We will investigate those books, looking for the wrongs of our society and look for clues: can they still teach us something or they became just some comédie larmovante’s background?
How long will it last?
A first part will be preparatory and will include four lessons that will take place in the afternoon, between November and December 2016. Then the second part will last from January to April 2017, once a week. Until march the workshop took place in various schools of Parma. From April on, it took place at Fondazione Teatro Due.
