We are happy to announce that Paola Donati, director of Fondazione Teatro Due, has been honored with the Ivo Chiesa Award for the category “A life for theater”.
The award was presented by actress Elisabetta Pozzi as part of the evening of honor celebrated at the Teatro Stabile di Genova, directed by Davide Livermore, creator of the award.
“As Ivo Chiesa taught, passion, militancy, foresight, courage, awareness, resourcefulness: these are hinges around which the life of a theater is founded and which burn in the foundations of Teatro Due in Parma.” This was the motivation that accompanied the award presentation.
“A leading figure on the Italian and international theater scene, Paola Donati skillfully combines organizational activity with artistic, theoretical and pedagogical work.”
The news reached the Fondazione Teatro Due at the conclusion of ‘Giornate d’Autore’, the latest project curated by Paola Donati as part of the Reggio Parma Festival/Arcipelaghi: a week of meetings and in-depth discussions on contemporary dramaturgy that brought authors, artists, operators, and national and international journalists to the city.
Congratulations, Paola.
